Erich W. Gunther

"Inspire the next generation to love the industry like we do"

Erich’s leadership helped to advance the understanding and collaboration necessary to solve real world energy problems. Enabling some of the world’s largest utilities and vendors to plan, architect, deploy, test and scale Smart Grids from end to end, Erich ensured that the next generation grid became a reality today.

He was a Life Fellow of the IEEE and served on the governing board of the Power & Energy Society. Erich’s passions included piloting planes, home-brewing, ham radio and bicycle rides with his wife, Jane.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
